2 Juveniles Charged With First-Degree Robbery in Fort Dodge

FORT DODGE, Iowa — Two juveniles, ages 13 and 12, are in custody and face felony robbery charges in Fort Dodge.

At approximately 2 a.m. Sunday, officers with the Fort Dodge Police Department responded to the area of 5th Ave North and North 22nd State on a report of an armed robbery.

The victim of the robbery said he was approached by two juvenile males who had a pistol and demanded his phone. The juveniles took the phone and rode away on bikes.

An officer later saw two juveniles fitting the description on bicycles a few blocks away. Police stopped the pair and later found a very realistic airsoft pistol and the victim’s property.

The two juveniles were charged with first-degree robbery. They were both transported to juvenile detention.
