One Person Killed in Polk County Motorcycle Crash

POLK COUNTY, Iowa – One person is dead following a two-vehicle crash involving a motorcycle Monday night.

The crash happened at about 7 p.m. near the 14200 block of NE 74th Street. Investigators said an SUV traveling northbound on 74th Street was struck head-on by a southbound Harley Davidson motorcycle.

The driver of the motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver and two passengers in the SUV were taken to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
