Police Seeking Vehicle that Took Off After Hitting Pedestrian

DES MOINES, Iowa — Des Moines police are hoping the public can help them find a vehicle involved in a hit-and-run that injured a pedestrian early Friday morning.

It happened around 6:15 a.m. at the intersection of Indianola Avenue and Park Avenue. Police say a witness told them a gold vehicle resembling a Lexus sedan hit a female in the intersection and left, heading westbound on Park Avenue.

Police say the victim did not suffer any serious injuries. She was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
