Republican Vice Presidential Candidate Mike Pence spoke in Mason City on Monday.

In his speech, Pence told the crowd that Democrats are painting a rosy picture of the economy but that growth has been weak.

He says it's keeping more people in poverty. Pence added that if Hillary Clinton is elected, she will just keep President Obama's failed policies, which will sink the country.

"Donald trump and I know that this is not the best we can do, it just they best they can do,” Pence said. “And when Donald Trump becomes the President of the United States, we are going to get this economy moving for everybody in Iowa and everybody all across the United States of America."

Pence says the best way to get the economy moving again is to lower taxes, reduce regulations and negotiate better trade deals.
