DES MOINES, Iowa — Des Moines police are investigating a round of late night gunfire that injured at least one person.
It all started around 10:00 Tuesday night when police responded to 1910 Casady Drive, in a neighborhood just south of Grays Lake, on a call of multiple gunshots heard.
When officers arrived they saw a dark-colored sedan leaving the area at a high rate of speed. The vehicle drove to Mercy Hospital, dropping off a gunshot victim. Police say the person had been shot in the buttocks. The injury is not considered life-threatening.
The name of the victim has not been released.
Police say no arrests have been made in the shooting and they don’t have any suspects at this time.
