DES MOINES, Iowa — A Des Moines man is behind bars following a weekend stabbing.

Donald White, 67, was arrested early Sunday and charged with willful injury.

Police say he stabbed a man in the back along the 400 block of Walnut Street around 5 a.m. Sunday. The victim is expected to survive.

White tried to get away, but police found him just two blocks away on Grand Avenue. He is being held without bond in the Polk County Jail.
