Man Charged With Attempted Murder Following Des Moines Shooting

DES MOINES, Iowa -- A man has been arrested and charged following a shooting in Des Moines that resulted in one man being sent to the hospital Saturday.

The shooting happened in the 1100 block of 14th Place.

When police arrived on the scene, they found one man suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Police arrested 75-year-old James Robinett Sloan and charged him with attempted murder and carrying a concealed weapon after the incident.

The shooting remains under investigation.
