MADRID, Iowa - The Madrid Tigers are having another solid football season.

The Tigers are 8-0 and ranked No. 3 in Class 1A.

Madrid boasts one of the top offenses in the entire state as they are averaging 52 points a game. They have the best running game in the state, regardless of class, as they are averaging 437 yards a game on the ground.

The Tigers' last district championship came back in 2011, which was also their last trip to the dome.

Friday Madrid faces their biggest challenge of the season, No. 4 Van Meter. The Bulldogs are also 8-0 and the winner wins the district.
