DES MOINES, Iowa - It's a show some adults can remember seeing when they were children.

"Disney on Ice" returns to Des Moines at Wells Fargo Arena just in time for the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. "Disney on Ice Presents: Passport to Adventure" brings your favorite Disney classics - like Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Goofy, Ariel, Sebastian, Simba, Peter Pan, and more - along with some new fan-favorites, like Elsa from "Frozen," together on the ice rink for a mash-up of music and theatrical performance.

But for some performers on the cast, the love you see on the rink isn't an act; Russian newly-weds, Alexandra Goncharuk and Artem Kazakov, portray Simba and Nala from Disney's "The Lion King." The two say, when portraying a love on the ice rink, having a real love can help the performance seem more authentic.

"So, when we are together on the ice, it's not just about job, it's more about the - when we're skating together, we show people the real emotions," Kazakov said. "Because, when we're skating the Lion King part, it's more about love. And when we're together, when we skate as Simba and Nala, we can show the people the real emotions, the real feelings, the real intensity between us. So, Disney on Ice makes us - happy!"
