WRIGHT COUNTY, Iowa – The mother of a child found alone and outside in the rain in Galt last week has been arrested.

The Wright County Sheriff’s Office was called about 1:30 p.m. on November 22nd about an unattended child. A two-year-old female, wearing only pajamas and without shoes, was located by deputies.

Officials were able to identify the child with the public’s help and her mother has now been charged in the case. Twenty-four-year-old Ysable Ceplecha is facing charges of neglect or abandonment of a dependent person.

Officials say the child and a one-year-old sibling are being cared for by the Iowa Department of Human Services.

Ceplecha is being held in the Wright county Jail on a bond of $10,000.
