DES MOINES, Iowa – Dozens of people were evacuated from an apartment building early Tuesday morning after a fire broke out, but most have been allowed back in the building.

Firefighters were called to the Logan Park Apartments at 1731 Cleveland around 2:30 a.m. after receiving reports of a fire. Crews evacuated the building of its 35-40 residents and were able to get the fire extinguished in less than an hour.

No one was injured in the fire but the building suffered heavy smoke damage. The fire was contained to one apartment on the top floor.
