School Board Member Charged With Child Sex Abuse Resigns

WEBSTER CITY, Iowa  —  A Webster City man accused of sexually abusing a child has resigned from the local school board.

Sixty-four-year-old Paul Stenger was arrested on Tuesday and charged with 2nd Degree Sex Abuse and Lascivious Acts With a Child.  He was arrested and released.

Webster City school officials tell Channel 13 that Stenger resigned from the school board Thursday morning.  The school board will discuss how he will be replaced at their next meeting on Monday.

Stenger is scheduled to appear in court for a preliminary hearing on December 20th.
