DES MOINES, Iowa – Des Moines Police arrested two people Monday night following a chase involving a stolen car.

Police say an officer spotted 19-year-old Mark Gaddy driving a stolen car at 6th and University. Gaddy refused to stop and led police on a chase through a residential area.

Officers used a PIT maneuver near Mary Avenue and 11th Street and were able to stop the car. No one was injured.

Gaddy was taken into custody and faces charges of 2nd degree theft, eluding, escape, interference with official acts, and also probation violations. A passenger was also taken into custody on outstanding warrants.
