LONDON, England  —  As International Women’s Day approaches, people in London gathered to rally in solidarity.

The event included a march along the River Thames and across the iconic Tower Bridge.

Some of the marchers were dressed as suffragettes, who fought for the right for women to vote.

More women are expected to march on Wednesday.
