The Insiders: December 10th Edition, Racism in Iowa

DES MOINES, Iowa  --  Two northern Iowa radio broadcasters recently faced criticism for racist comments they made about Eagle Grove High School basketball players.

The radio broadcast was streaming on the internet and the hosts may have thought listeners on the radio were listening to commercials, but those listening over the internet could hear the announcers who were still talking.

Joe Enriquez is a Democrat and the National Vice President for the Midwest region of the League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC), and John Stineman is a Republican and the Executive Director of the Iowa Chamber Alliance. The Alliance is a non-partisan coalition that represents the 16 largest chambers of commerce and economic development organizations throughout Iowa. They both joined Political Director Dave Price in the Channel 13 studio to discuss racism in Iowa and across the country.
