I’m a multimedia producer for WHO-HD. I deal with the content posted to and the station’s social media accounts. I try to make sure our users are having the best experience possible and they’re able to find what they’re looking for easily.

I’m a graduate of Buena Vista University but grew up in northeast Iowa and spent my summers in northern Minnesota. I love spending time outdoors and playing for the Des Moines Women’s Rugby Club.

    Repairs End Overnight Metro Power Outage

    DES MOINES, Iowa — Parts of the metro were without power for a few hours Monday morning because of a problem with a MidAmerican Energy substation. The issue impacted thousands of customers in Des Moines, West Des Moines, and Windsor Heights, where power was lost around 3:45 a.m. At the height of the outage, MidAmerican says more than 7,000 customers were without electricity. Power was restored to most customers affected by the outage shortly after 6:00 a.m.

    WEST DES MOINES, Iowa — A portion of Highway 5 was closed after a rollover accident involving a tanker truck hauling fuel Friday morning.     Woman Jailed After Second Chase with Police this Month

    DES MOINES, Iowa — One person is behind bars Friday following an overnight police chase. The chase began before 2:00 a.m. on Interstate-235 when police say they tried to pull over a car that was speeding over 95 miles per hour. The driver, 24-year-old Patrice Singleton, refused to pull over and police officers pursued her.     LUCAS COUNTY, Iowa — A Des Moines woman out on bond and awaiting trial on two counts of vehicular homicide by OWI was arrested again over the weekend and charged with OWI in another case.     Windows Shot Out at Des Moines Home

    DES MOINES, Iowa – Police are investigating after reports of shots fired were made early Thursday morning. Police were dispatched to the 1600 block of 12th Street just after 4:30 a.m. after receiving two calls about gunfire being heard in the area. When they arrived they found windows at the home at 1618 12th Street had been shot out. Police say no one was injured. They don’t have any suspects in the shooting.

    New Trials Ordered for Two Men in Daughenbaugh Beating Death

    DES MOINES, Iowa — Two men convicted of second degree murder in the beating death of a Des Moines man in 2013 will get new trials. The Iowa Court of Appeals issued rulings Wednesday morning reversing the murder convictions and ordering new trials for Yarvon Russell and James Shorter.     INDIANOLA, Iowa — A standoff situation in Indianola ended early Wednesday morning with one person being taken to a local hospital.
