I’m a multimedia producer for WHO-HD. I deal with the content posted to http://www.WHOtv.com and the station’s social media accounts. I try to make sure our users are having the best experience possible and they’re able to find what they’re looking for easily.

I’m a graduate of Buena Vista University but grew up in northeast Iowa and spent my summers in northern Minnesota. I love spending time outdoors and playing for the Des Moines Women’s Rugby Club.

    Two Suspects Rob Des Moines Bank

    DES MOINES, Iowa — Des Moines police are investigating a bank robbery that happened Friday morning. Police say the robbery at the Central Bank at 4018 University was called in at 8:46 a.m. Witnesses told officers the suspects were two black men wearing black hooded sweatshirts, dark-colored jeans, and bandanas covering their faces.     JEFFERSON, Iowa — An early morning fire in Jefferson caused major damage to a downtown business.     Meredith’s Merger Deal with Media General Terminated

    DES MOINES, Iowa — The merger agreement between Des Moines-based Meredith Corporation and Media General has been terminated. Meredith announced Wednesday the two companies had agreed to terminate the binding merger agreement.  Meredith will now get $60 million from Media General and has the opportunity, though no assurances on a deal, to negotiate the purchase of some Media General broadcast and digital assets.     Authorities Arrest Two Men in Decade-Old Double Murder

    OTTUMWA, Iowa — After nearly 10 years, a double murder in rural Wapello County has been solved. The Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation announced Tuesday that 28-year-old Christopher Yenger, of Ottumwa, and 27-year-old Zachary Dye, of Council Bluffs, were arrested for a 2006 fire that killed two people.     Gun Sales Up in Iowa

    DES MOINES, Iowa — Iowa is seeing a surge in gun sales and applications for permits. The Des Moines Register reports local dealers have seen sales rise by up to 30-percent since November. The state also conducted nearly 26,000 firearm background checks in December. That’s more than any other month last year, which averaged 7,000 to 17,000. Some say it’s fueled by President Obama’s executive action on gun control, while others say it’s simply for protection.

    DES MOINES, Iowa — The Iowa State Fair has announced country star Dierks Bentley will perform at the Grandstand during the 2016 fair.
