    IOWA CITY, Iowa – University of Iowa basketball player Peter Jok was arrested again Monday night. The 20-year-old West Des Moines native was pulled over on his moped at about 11:45 p.m. Monday on campus for having an improper tail light, an arrest report shows.     COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa – A Pottawattamie County man suffered a severe injury to his hand during Independence Day celebrations Friday.     Security Camera Captures Newton Tornado

    NEWTON, Iowa – A security camera in Newton caught the moment a possible tornado formed as it traveled near Newton. Marvin Woods sent in the footage to Channel 13 which was shot south of Interste-80 looking north. At least 11 tornadoes were reported to have touched down across the state including the cities of Jewell, Reinbeck, Traer, and Winterset. The National Weather Service will be going to Grundy, Tama and Jasper counties to do storm surveys Monday.

    JOHNSTON, Iowa – The latest crest forecast from the Army Corps of Engineers shows Saylorville Lake below danger zones. The lake is forecast to crest on Sunday night at 881 feet above sea level. That gives officials three feet before they would have to make use of the crest gates. The spillway would be breached at 890 feet.
