Early morning storms are pushing north, out of Central Iowa this morning. We will see a lull in the action through the first part of the day with some partial clearing of the skies. This will allow temperatures to rise to the mid 80s. Humidity will stay high and instability will build through the day. After noon, showers and storms will begin to redevelop. We are at risk of storms that may produce hail, damaging winds and even tornadoes late today and this evening. The best chance of tornadic storms will be in southwest Iowa.
