Hello and Happy Monday, gang!
I don’t have much to report from the weekend. Most of it was spent hobbling around because of a session Michael and I had with a personal trainer on Friday. Doug Van Wyk is someone you’ve seen in various “Workout of the Week” reports and he really knows his stuff. Michael and I have been talking for a long time about meeting with a trainer and even though it hurt, we’re glad we finally got the ball rolling. Here’s the best part – the session didn’t include a single piece of equipment! It’s amazing what you can accomplish using only your own body as a fitness tool.
We also managed to get a lot done around the house. Weeds are pulled and many new plants are in the ground. Now we’ll see if we can keep them alive.
We ate dinner at Mullet’s last night and I finally tried a sandwich I’ve been eyeballing for a long time – the Strawberry Gouda Turkey. It was great, although it could’ve used more strawberry and fewer sprouts. Michael stuck with the Waikiki Pizza because he said the sandwich was like “eating the lawn”. I love pretty much everything I’ve ever eaten at Mullet’s but the fried pickle chips are my absolute favorite thing. I get them every time we’re there. It’s an addiction. It’s part of the reason I need a personal trainer to kick my butt.
Have a wonderful week!
