A 22-month-old Iowa City toddler is out of the hospital after police say his mother got him drunk.

The toddler was admitted for observation last week after tests showed he had a blood alcohol level of .09 which is above the legal limit.

The boy’s father took him to the hospital because he was crying and had very poor balance.

The boy’s mother, 26-year-old Natasha Kriener, is now charged with child endangerment. At the time of her arrest, Kriener had a blood alcohol level of more than three times the legal limit.
