A Des Moines man convicted of vehicular homicide will be sentenced in March.

Fifty-one-year-old Loren Bishop killed 73-year-old Mary Miller when he lost control of his SUV and it plowed into Miller’s home. Bishop was found to be under the influence of five different prescription drugs at the time of the accident.

A jury found Bishop guilty of vehicular homicide earlier this month and he had been scheduled to be sentenced this past Monday. A courtroom scheduling issue forced the date to be pushed until March 16th.

Bishop faces up to 25 years in prison.
