Monday afternoon the Iowa Board of Regents approved a budget-slicing decision by the University of Northern Iowa.

Last week, UNI President Ben Allen announced the decision to close Malcolm Price Laboratory School by the end of June. It will save about $2 million per year.

Authorities say it’s just not feasible to sink money into the aging building.

The state legislature must also approve the move.
