Testimony continued Wednesday in the trial of a former Drake University student accused of sexually assaulting his former fraternity brother.

Anthony Bertolone is accused of videotaping his actions while his alleged victim was passed out in the Sigma Chi fraternity house.

Wednesday, the alleged victim’s former roommate testified for the prosecution.

Evan McKenzie said the alleged victim’s friendship with Bertolone was complex and tumultuous.

McKenzie said that Bertolone was obsessed with the alleged victim, and that both he and the alleged victim had a hard time turning down unwanted gifts from Bertolone.

More former Drake students are slated to testify Wednesday afternoon.
