A metro teenager accused of trying to kill another teenager is scheduled to be in court Wednesday.

Court records show 19-year-old Johnathon Frencher will be arraigned on three charges: attempted murder, willful injury, and criminal gang participation.

Police say Frencher shot 17-year-old Andrew Scruggs near the corner of 19th Street and Forest Avenue on November 15th.

In January, police arrested Frencher in Missouri on unrelated charges and transported him back to Iowa.
