The state’s Revenue Estimating Conference is meeting later this week to give an update on how much tax revenue Iowa will bring in the 2012 fiscal year.

The REC is scheduled to meet Friday to give its latest estimation on how much money will be available for the general fund.

In December, the REC estimated the state would see $6.2 billion in tax revenue for fiscal year 2012. That’s an increase from the $6 million estimated in 2011.
