Vice President Joe Biden visited Davenport Wednesday morning.

Biden was at PCT Engineered Systems talking to workers about the economy, saying manufacturing is on the rebound and outsourced jobs are returning to the U.S.

However, Biden says there’s still work to do.

“A job is about a lot more than a paycheck, it’s about dignity, it’s about respect it’s about your sense of yourself, it’s about your community. And too many people are stripped of dignity as a consequence of this god awful recession we’ve inherited. We’re determined, we’re determined; I think all of us, Republicans and Democrats, are determined to turn that around.”

Vice President Biden is hoping to fire up Democrats leading up to the November election.

He’ll visit Sioux City Wednesday evening for a private meeting with supporters.
