An organization that helps Russian orphans find families in Iowa is ending its work.

Camp Hope began bringing children over from Russia in 2000.

But the program is ending due to a “hold” on adoptions in one Russian region.  Even kids that were in the process of being adopted can no longer finish the process.

Camp Hope officials say the organization has helped more than 175 children.

Camp hope is a non-profit run entirely by volunteers.
