TEEN CHARGED: Alleged Abuse At High School

A 16-year-old northeast Iowa high school student has been charged with sexual abuse for allegedly assaulting a 13-year-old girl.

The Associated Press reports the alleged sexual assault happened in the wrestling room at Starmont High School in Arlington on March 23rd.

The student has been charged as an adult with third-degree sexual abuse. He was taken into custody Wednesday but released to his parents.

School officials have not commented on the teen’s arrest.
