PASSENGER TRAIN: Service From Chicago To Omaha

The Iowa DOT is moving forward with plans for passenger train service from Chicago to Omaha.

Work will begin with several public forums on the proposed route.  The forums will focus on various routes between the two cities.

The public forum in Des Moines will take place on May 2nd at the State Historical Building.

Lawmakers are yet to commit state money to the proposed project.
