One of Obama’s cabinet members is visiting the metro Thursday.

U.S. Education Secretary Arne Duncan talked with DMACC students and staff in Ankeny.

Duncan spoke highly of DMACC's career and technical education programs.

He says DMACC does a great job teaming its programs with Iowa businesses so students get real, hands-on experience.

Duncan also praises the entire state for having jointly enrolled high school students, kids who are taking college courses for credit.

Duncan has been in Iowa since Wednesday.  He also made stops in Dubuque and Waterloo.
