Cherry pies are usually a treat during the VEISHEA celebration, but Friday, they were weapons.

Iowa state faculty members took their turns taking pies to the face today as part of the VEISHEA celebration.

It was part of a fundraiser for the Agriculture Honor Society at ISU.

After taking his turn as a pie target, Professor Tom Brumm said it’s all part of the job description.

“That’s why I was hired at Iowa State, so the students had something to do during VEISHEA.  So absolutely, it’s part of my job description.”
