Thursday there will be a new non-stop option for those flying out of the Des Moines International Airport.

U.S. Airways begins non-stop service to Washington, D.C.’s Reagan National Airport Thursday morning. The new service will be twice daily with early morning and mid-afternoon departures.

“Our new service from Cincinnati and Des Moines will provide a direct link to Washington, D.C. and connections to communities throughout the East Coast,” said U.S. Airways Senior VP Andrew Nocella.

The service gives U.S. Airways three destinations from Des Moines. It already serves Phoenix and Charlotte.
