A Marshalltown man is behind bars after being arrested on drug charges by the Mid Iowa Drug Task Force.

Fifty-four-year-old Max Nelson Jr. was arrested Wednesday on two counts of delivery of a schedule II controlled substance, which is a Special Class B Felony.  Agents with the task force say they served the arrest warrants at Tom’s Cue & Brew at 803 E. Main Street in Marshalltown.

Officials say the charges against Nelson stem from an investigation into methamphetamine.

Nelson is being held in the Marshall County Jail on a bond of $100,000.
The investigation continues and more arrests are expected.

Marshalltown Police assisted the Mid Iowa Drug Task Force in the case.
