The officers were among 362 killed in the line of duty in our country last year. They were remembered at a special ceremony Sunday, which was the start of national police week.

Keokuk County Sheriff’s Deputy Eric Stein and State Trooper Mark Toney, were among the names added to the memorial this year.

Deputy Stein was shot and killed during a stand-off.
