President Barack Obama is making another trip to Iowa.

The White House says Obama will give a speech in Newton next Thursday. He’ll talk about the to-do list he’s given Congress, which concerns many economic issues.

Following that event, he’ll visit Des Moines to meet with supporters.

Obama’s last visit to the state was less than a month ago.

He visited the University of Iowa to talk with students about debt and the possibility of loan rates doubling.

Iowa is considered a swing state this election.

The presumptive GOP candidate, Mitt Romney, was in Des Moines earlier this week talking about the national debt.
