Western Iowa authorities say a passerby found two bodies at a state park Sunday night.

The person spotted the bodies at Lake Manawa State Park around 7:00 p.m.

Authorities say the bodies were near a boat ramp to the Missouri River. They have not released the names of the deceased or cause of death.

Officials also haven’t said whether they have any reason to believe the bodies are those of missing 41-year-old Charlotte Schilling and her 10-year-old son Owen.

The two were reported missing from their Pattsmouth, Nebraska home on Mother’s Day weekend.
