Friday Mitt Romney rallied his base in western Iowa...next week he'll do the same on the other side of the state. Next Monday, June 18th, Romney is holding a grassroots rally in the quad cities.  He’ll speak at Le Claire Park and band shell in Davenport.

Romney’s stop in the quad cities gives him a chance to address a crowd from both Iowa and Illinois.

"Scott County is a pivotal county and prior to 2010, we were a blue county and then in 2010 after the election we became a red county so I'm thrilled with that result and I hope we can continue that for this election." said Judy Davidson with the Scott County Republicans.

"We have a wonderful slate of candidates and we're gearing for victory on November 6th." said Susan Frembgen with the Scott County Democrats. "We all know this is the big grounds, the battlegrounds for the November 6th elections so I expect we'll have a lot of activities along those lines."

Romney's visit comes just three days after the state's latest unemployment numbers are released.

If Iowa’s jobless numbers follow the national trend, and increase...you can expect he'll be taking shots at the President.
