Iowa DNR officials have stepped up patrol on our state’s waterways.

The DNR and local authorities are looking for drunk boaters.  They are calling the effort “Operation Dry Water.”

The enforcement comes after six people died and 15 others were injured on the water last week.

Officials are reminding boaters that the legal blood alcohol limit is same on the water as it is on the highway, .08.
