GRINNELL ACCIDENT: One Air Lifted After Accident

Three people were injured in an accident that slowed traffic on I-80 near Grinnell Friday night. 

Three vehicles were traveling westbound on I-80 and had stopped due to a traffic back-up at the 181 mile marker.  A semi traveling westbound failed to stop and collided with the three vehicles. 

Twenty three-year-old Arthur M. Fiester of Cedar Rapids was transported by air to Mercy in Des Moines  He is in critical condition.  Sixty two-year-old Linda Olson of Eldridge and Connie Mae Johnson were transported by ambulance to Grinnell Regional.  The extent of their injuries is unknown.

The accident is under investigation.
