BLOOMFIELD AUDIT: Investigation of Fire Department’s Spending

The Iowa State auditor is investigating the Bloomfiled Volunteer Fire Department after suspicious financial transactions were found on a state audit.

The special investigation identified $113,958.76 in unsupported and improper distributions of funds starting on July 1st, 2006 and going through June 30th, 2010

Many of the questionable transactions include $528.42 for personal car payments, $276.00 withdrawn from an ATM in Las Vegas, and several purchases were in an adult book store.
