The Grinnell College Campus is dealing with the death of one of its former students who had a promising future.
22-year old Armando Montano was found dead on Saturday at the bottom of an elevator shaft in Mexico City. Houston Dougharty, Vice President for Student Affairs at Grinnell, had this to say on the passing: "It didn't seem like it was real. Like it was possible. I mean Mando was on this campus less than a month a go graduating from college."

Montano was known to many as "Mondo".
He recently graduated Grinnell College and was taking part in a summer internship with the associated press in Mexico City.
Classmates say he was following his dream. Montano was a writer and editor for the college newspaper and those who worked with him say he showed incredible promise.
