VIP VP’s: Big Names Headed to Iowa

We don’t know if Mitt Romney knows his choice for running mate. We do know some of the most-mentioned names are scheduled to come to Iowa the next few days. Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal and Virginia Governor Bob McDonnell headline events Thursday. (The Des Moines Register’s Jennifer Jacobs already had the lowdown on those). And Florida Senator Marco Rubio will also get top billing at a Saturday evening stop. We don’t have the specifics on that one yet. This should keep the VP buzz going while Romney goes overseas.

Add these names to the announcement that former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush is headed to Sioux City in October, and it feels almost like caucus time again with all the big names with travel plans to the Hawkeye State.
