Fire investigators are still trying to determine what caused a fire that destroyed an Ames apartment building in July and now they’re asking for help.

The Ames Fire Department is asking anyone who has information on how the fire at the South Meadow Apartments may have started to contact them.

The fire began just before 6:00 a.m. Sunday, July 15th in the carport of the southeast corner of the building. It quickly spread to the roof. No residents were injured in the fire, but they’ve all been permanently displaced.

If you have information on the fire you can contact the Ames Fire Department at 515-239-5108 or Story County Crime Stoppers at 515-382-7577.
