The Iowa Department of Public Safety says several agencies are working together to investigate a shooting in Union County Sunday night.

The Union County Sheriff’s Office was called to 203 Park Place in Arispe around 10:47 p.m. Sunday on a report of a shooting. When deputies arrived they found 52-year-old Laura Maxfield-Anderson and 60-year-old Ronald Anderson suffering from gunshot wounds.

Both were transported to Mercy Hospital in Des Moines by air ambulance for treatment. They are listed in fair condition.

Officials say they believe the shooting was the result of a domestic dispute and they aren’t seeking anyone else in connection with the case.

The Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation, the Afton Police Department and the Creston Police Department are all assisting the Union County Sheriff’s Office in the investigation.
