The Animal Rescue League is celebrating a big weekend.

The ARL broke an adoption record.  The adopted out 52 dogs, cats and other animals on Sunday.  This tops the prior record of 34-adoptions, set during an adopt-a-thon last September.

In addition to the adoptions, 27 lost pets were reunited with their owners over the weekend.

Add in the Saturday adoptions and the ARL says that 120 lives were saved in 48 hours.
