The Des Moines School board will meet Tuesday to take the next step in hiring a new, permanent Superintendent.

The board is expected to approve a motion to issue a request for proposals.  It will pave the way for search firms to submit their plans and costs for finding a candidate.  There is an early February deadline for those interested in submitting proposals.

The former Superintendent, Dr. Nancy Sebring resigned amid an e-mail scandal in May.  Tom Ahart is serving as the current interim superintendent.

The board meets Tuesday at 6:00 at Central Campus.
