ETHICS ISSUE: Complaint Against Rastetter Dismissed

The Iowa Campaign Ethics Board heard an ethics complaint Thursday against Iowa Board of Regents member Bruce Rastetter.

The complaint, filed by Iowa CCI, claimed after Rastetter became a regent he influenced Iowa State University to partner with a company in which he invested in to farm land in Tanzania.

The complaint also accused Rastetter of filing a false financial disclosure statement with the state. He filed  new disclosure statement earlier this week on the Tanzania farming project.

After meeting Thursday afternoon, the board dismissed the ethics complaint.
