UTILITY HELP: Iowans Apply For Winter Assistance

Some Iowans will be able to get some help with their utility bills this winter.

The enrollment process for the low income home energy assistance program started Monday.

Seniors and the disabled can begin applying at their local community action agency. The program opens to everyone on November 1st.

LIHEAP is provided through the winter months and funding varies according to income and the number of family members.
