EARLY VOTING: Officials Hope Voting Is Off To Record Start

The Secretary of State’s Office says nearly 200,000 Iowans have taken advantage of early voting.

Secretary of State Matt Schultz is expecting a new record, with 40-percent of voters casting a ballot before Election Day.

Democrats are leading so far with 115,000 registered democrats having already voted.

Just 62,000 registered republicans have cast a ballot.
