GAS LEAK: Two Blocks Evacuated For Monona Leak

A gas leak in Monona cut classes short Wednesday. 

A construction crew hit a gas line while working on fiber optics cables, forcing a two-block evacuation around the leak.

Nearby schools dismissed shortly after noon because of the evacuation orders.

The gas line has since been repaired.
